Embossing Folders

One pass through the machine and an embossing folder turns a plain sheet into a surface full of texture. Embossing folders create dry raised designs when paper or cardstock runs through your cutting machine: perfect for card backgrounds, decorative panels, shakers and those subtle textures that make a project feel special. You will find florals, geometrics, dots, woodgrain and organic patterns.

Match the folder size to your machine (A6, A7, standard) and mind the paper weight: too thin may tear, too thick will not emboss cleanly. And here comes the fun part: highlight the raised ridges with brush ink, chalk or wax and watch the design come alive. If the emboss comes out faint, try a shim plate or a mid-weight paper until you find the sweet spot.
